HT Labs Measures: Denon DHT-FS3

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the DHT-FS3 soundbar (purple trace) and sub (blue trace). The left channel was measured with grille at a distance of 1 meter.

The DHT-FS3 soundbar’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +3.16 /–2.40 decibels from 300 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 203 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 178 Hz.

The sub’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 100 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 46 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 42 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 150 Hz.—MJP
