All-in-One 12TB Blu-ray 3D Server

Combine a 3D Blu-ray player with a 12TB hard drive and you have the Mozaex Solo 2. With USA retail pricing less than $6,000 for up to 12TBs of media storage, the Solo 2 is more affordable than many other media server systems, providing a highly scalable solution. Up to four additional Blu-ray Players may be added for $2,495 apiece.

The Solo 2 combines a Blu-Ray/DVD/CD loader and player with hard drive media storage. It plays Blu-ray 7.1 HD Audio formats including Dolby TrueHD™ and DTS HD Master Audio™ via LPCM audio. The Solo 2 provides the full gamut of connections including HDMI 1.4 (for 3D Blu-ray playback), DVI and VGA, plus 7.1 HD audio, S/PDIF 5.1 digital or analog RCA audio. Component video connections are optional.

The brushed, black aluminum chassis only takes 3.5U of rack space and 13.3 inches of depth. It is cooled by dual ultra quiet 20db fans. A rack mount kit is optionally available for 19-inch rack mount applications.

The unit scales DVDs up to 1080p and provides access to several online media services via Ethernet (requires broadband service from as ISP) such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Shoutcast and Picasa.

Mozaex offers the broadest interoperability with virtually any control system, including touch panel controllers from companies including Crestron, AMX, Control4, RTI, Savant, Elan and NetStreams among others.

For larger projects, Mozaex offers the “Player/Server” family which virtually supports an unlimited number of Players and RAID 6 storage units. The Enterprise Class of Mozaex servers (scheduled for March 2011) supports up 200TBs of SAS RAID 6 protected media storage. Depending on your budget, the options are endless.

To minimize on-site service, Mozaex includes with every system a service utility called SurePlayTM that allows the dealer or Mozaex to easily login to the Solo to perform period checkups and update software. In addition, an EasyUpTM utility allows users to easily perform updates to the Mozaex software.
