Fans of the long-running medical drama ER will be delighted to learn that the full first season will appear on DVD later this summer. Early birds will also get to enjoy bonus "promotional content" if they are among the first customers to order the ER package from Amazon.com.

Due to be released on August 26, ER: The Complete First Season will be available from the online retailer at $41.19, a 25% discount off its suggested list price of $54.92. Amazon.com received 10,000-plus requests from customers who wanted to be notified when this title was being released. As a reward for early orders, Amazon.com will provide those who pre-order the title with an exclusive streaming video message from Sherry Stringfield reminiscing about the early days of ER.

To get the video stream, you must have the Windows operating system on your computer and a current version of Windows Media Player 7x. After placing your order through Amazon.com's "Shopping Cart" checkout, you'll see a page that says, "Thank you for your order." This page should contain a link to your Digital Library, where you will find a link to this special offer.
