Home Entertainment 2002, May 31-June 2

Home Entertainment 2002 is set to open to the public as planned, May 31–June 2, 2002, at the Hilton New York & Towers Hotel in New York City. Show attendees will be treated to numerous free educational seminars and musical performances from a dozen popular jazz, classical, and contemporary recording artists.

Classical music devotees can enjoy performances by pianists Hyperion Knight and Robert Silverman and violinist Arturo Delmoni, while jazz lovers can jive with the John Pizzarelli Trio and the JA Quartet, which features Stereophile magazine's own editor-in-chief, John Atkinson. Jazz fans will also get to hear Dave's True Story perform their hit tunes, made famous in the film Kissing Jessica Stein, while blues aficionados will have two opportunities to raise the roof—once on Friday night, with famed recording artists Jimmie Lee Robinson and Wild Child Butler, and again on Saturday evening, with Noah Wotherspoon & The Stratocats.

Concert tickets are included in the price of admission to HE2002 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission passes for Home Entertainment 2002 are $25 for one day, or $35 for a weekend pass.

Co-sponsored by Stereophile, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, Home Theater, and Audio Video Interiors magazines, Home Entertainment 2002 is the ultimate showcase for audio and video enthusiasts who want to see and hear the latest in consumer electronics products from over 200 exhibitors in more than 80 demonstration rooms.
