With all the recent hullabaloo over the future of physical media, here’s a look at movies slated for release on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray (or not) over the next couple of months. All movies scheduled for Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray are also slated for simultaneously release on DVD, and a couple of the movies will be released digitally and on DVD (no Blu-ray).

4K Ultra HD Blu-ray

March 19, Mary Poppins Returns (Disney) – Academy Award-nominated sequel based on the Mary Poppins series of books by P.L. Travers. Directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Nine, Into the Woods) and starring Emily Blunt. Available March 12 via Movies Anywhere. DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1

April 16, Glass (Universal) – A comic-book thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis and the last in a trilogy from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs). Slated for release as a three-disc combo pack. Available April 2 via Movies Anywhere. Dolby Atmos.

April 23, Alien 40th Anniversary Edition (20th Century Fox) A limited-edition SteelBook release of the “scariest movie ever made” remastered in 4K and starring Sigourney Weaver and John Hurt. Bonus features will include the 1979 theatrical version with commentary by Ridley Scott, the 2003 Director’s Cut of the film, and the original score isolated in Dolby Digital 5.1. DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.

March 12, London Fields (20th Century Fox) – A seductive thriller based on the best-selling novel by Martin Amis. Starring Amber Heard and Billy Bob Thornton. Slated for release on DVD only. Now available via Movies Anywhere. Dolby Digital 5.1.

April 2, Vice (20th Century Fox) – Christian Bale in his Oscar-nominated role as Dick Cheney in an epic tale of how a bureaucratic Washington insider quietly became the most powerful man in the world. Slated for release on DVD only. Available March 12 via Movies Anywhere. Dolby Digital 5.1.

April 9, Holmes & Watson (Sony/Columbia Pictures) – A new take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s timeless characters Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Starring comedy duo Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers). Available March 26 via Movies Anywhere. Bonus features Include 18 deleted scenes.

February 19, SGT. Will Gardner (Cinedigm) – The story of Iraq War veteran Will Gardner (Max Martini) who, while suffering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) sustained in combat, embarks on a spirited motorcycle journey across America with the goal of reuniting with his son. February 26, Ralph Breaks the Internet (Disney) – An animated adventure sequel to Wreck-It Ralph featuring video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C.
