HT Labs Measures

L/R Sensitivity:
88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Center Sensitivity:
88 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

Surround Sensitivity:
87 dB from 500 Hz to 2 kHz

This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the PC-3.0 left channel (purple trace), FL-10 subwoofer (blue trace), PC-3.0 center channel (green trace), and Velocity surround (red trace). All passive loudspeakers were measured with grilles at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input and scaled for display purposes.

The PC-3.0 left channel’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +1.11/–5.76 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. The –3-dB point is at 92 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 81 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.40 ohms at 4.3 kHz and a phase angle of –51.46 degrees at 136 Hz.

The PC-3.0 center channel’s listening-window response measures +0.87/–2.23 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +1.00/–3.10 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 93 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 82 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 3.35 ohms at 2.8 kHz and a phase angle of –39.33 degrees at 136 Hz.

The Velocity’s three-face averaged response in dipole mode measures +1.66/–7.53 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3-dB point is at 120 Hz, and the –6-dB point is at 102 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.17 ohms at 263 Hz and a phase angle of –36.92 degrees at 158 Hz.

The LF-10’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 34 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 32 Hz. The upper –3-dB point is at 131 Hz using the LFE input.—MJP

Planning on placing additional speaker to my home theatre system. I got Klipsch RSB-8 as my soundbar, it sounds really great, but I wanted to add more. Which product do you think will work well with my current soundbar?
