New Salamander Cabinets Built for LG's UST Projector

AV furniture specialist Salamander Designs is introducing a line of custom cabinets at 2019 CEDIA built to accommodate the combination of an LG CineBeam HU85LA ultra-short-throw laser projector — which projects images up to 120 inches (diagonal) when placed only 7 inches from the wall — and a Screen Innovations Solo Pro 2 motorized screen.

The line comprises four models — Chicago, Oslo, Miami, and Siena — in two sizes and three styles, all featuring a recessed projector cavity, sturdy aluminum frame, louvers that allow air flow around components to keep them cool, and pinch-out rear panels that provide quick, easy access to components and wiring.

A number of accessories and bolt-on options are available, including an active fan-based cooling system, designer footing, pull-out interior storage, and a center speaker compartment with a removable grille.

Finish options include Salamander’s unique grass texture in black oak with or without glass doors, smooth black-oak veneer, and gloss "warm white." (The Miami 245S model with a grille-covered speaker compartment is shown.)

The larger cabinet is 85.5 inches wide and has up to four bays, while the smaller cabinet is 44.5 inches wide.

All of the cabinets are described as easy to install with no need to cut into walls or run cables.
