Marantz Introduces Wireless Network Receivers

Marantz today announced that it is adding two models to its M-CR Series of wireless network receivers. The M-CR510 and M-CR610 support internet radio, music streaming services, and content from home networks, mobile devices, and other sources. Both models are available now for $599 and $699, respectively.

Both receivers support Spotify, Pandora, and SiriusXM streaming as well as Apple AirPlay (requires iTunes 10.1 or later and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or later). Other common features include Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) certification, the option to connect to a home network via an Ethernet cable, an optical digital input, Windows 8/RT compatibility, DLNA 1.5 certification, and support for MP3, WMA, AAC, 192/24 FLAC, ALAC, and WAV audio formats. You can use the supplied remote to control the receiver or download the Marantz Remote App for Apple devices.

The M-CR610 has additional features, including a CD player, AM/FM tuner, a 4 x 30-watt amplifier that can drive two pairs of speakers simultaneously, a Wi-Fi diversity antenna, and two USB ports (with charging)—one in front and one in back.

The M-CR510 has a two-channel amplifier and a compact “slim body” chassis.
