Last-Minute Holiday Offers & Deals

A few last-minute holiday offers have been brought to our attention as Christmas Day draws near.

Como Audio is offering “free rush shipping” through December 19th. The offer is good for any of its wireless music systems, including the Top Pick-designated Duetto and Solo speakers we reviewed a couple years ago.

Klipsch is bringing back its popular ProMedia 2.1 THX-certified computer speaker system and offering it at the “limited-time reintroduction price” of $129. The powered system and comprises a standalone subwoofer and pair of two-way desktop speakers, each featuring an integral stand that tilts the speaker back, a 3-inch midrange driver, and a MicroTractrix-horn-loaded 0.75-inch tweeter. Rated system power is 100 watts continuous. The only rub is the system ships at the end of the month, making pre-Christmas delivery out of the question.

In a one-day special that expires at the today, Best Buy has knocked 54% off Sony’s “Extra Bass” MDRXB950N1 wireless noise-cancelling headphones as part of its “20 Days of Doorbusters” promotion. The over-ear phones have a rated play time of 22 hours with the noise cancelling and extra-bass modes turned on. At $115, the price is $135 off the $250 list price.

Crutchfield is offering a number of online deals and specials but a couple jumped out at us. Onkyo’s Dolby Atmos/DTS:X-equipped TX-RZ620 7.2-channel AV receiver is being offered at $400, 42% off its $700 list price. And Denon’s Top Pick-designated AVR-X3400H has been marked down to $600, 40% off its regular $1,000 price.
