This graph shows the quasi-anechoic (employing close-miking of all woofers) frequency response of the Micro SE satellite (purple trace) and TR-1 subwoofer (blue trace). The passive loudspeaker was measured with grille at a distance of 1 meter with a 2.83-volt input.

The Micro SE’s listening-window response (a five-point average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal and vertical responses) measures +5.30/–3.20 decibels from 200 hertz to 10 kilohertz. An average of axial and +/–15-degree horizontal responses measures +5.32/–3.21 dB from 200 Hz to 10 kHz. The –3dB point is at 166 Hz, and the –6dB point is at 138 Hz. Impedance reaches a minimum of 4.89 ohms at 80 Hz and a phase angle of +18.95 degrees at 136 Hz.

The TR-1’s close-miked response with the Bass Boost switch set to +6dB, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3dB point is at 40 Hz and the –6dB point is at 31 Hz. The upper –3dB point is at 123 Hz with the Crossover switch set to Bypass.—MJP
