I want the Cary MQA streamer function in a simple preamp with a switchable tube section..
$1000 seems right..
Get to it Cary..

... you will get that price range from Carey and I even the list price is pleasantly surprising. There are quite a few MQA enabled devices out there, but none with a tube section (that I know of). I use the Pioneer XDP-100R (now discontinued, but can be found new around $299). The Bluesound Node 2 ($499) plays MQA files. For computer audio, look no further than the Meridian Explorer 2 ($199). If you want to inject some tube goodness, try the iFi Micro iTube2 ($375) which can switch between SET and push/pull.
