Summary: Sonos, manufacturer of the most popular multiroom music system, has continued to improve both the music and movie performance of the Playbar with a series of firmware upgrades. It really comes to life with the addition of the SUB wireless subwoofer (an additional $699), but if you don’t mind sacrificing the deep bass, even as a standalone, this is one of the best soundbars out there under $1,000 and a great way to start building a whole-house audio system.
