11 DTS Play-Fi Products Get Alexa Voice Control

DTS has announced that 11 more DTS Play-Fi-enabled products from three top audio brands are now compatible with Alexa voice control.

The following models from Anthem, Paradigm, and MartinLogan have been certified to work with Amazon’s popular Alexa voice platform:

• Anthem’s MRX 720 and Top Pick-rated MRX 1120 MRX 1120 AV receivers
• Paradigm’s Top Pick-rated PW 600 and PW 800 wireless speakers and companion PW Amp streaming amplifier
• MartinLogan’s Bravado and Crescendo X wireless speakers, Cadence and Motion Vision X soundbars (successor to the Top Pick-rated Motion Vision soundbar), Forte wireless streaming amplifier, and Unison wireless streaming preamp

“Works with Alexa” certification means these products can be controlled using voice commands when linked with an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, or other Alexa-enabled speaker/device. Voice functionality is activated by linking an Amazon account to an Alexa-compatible DTS Play-Fi product like one of the ones listed above.

Once linked, Alex will know the speaker by name and listeners can control volume and playback functions such as track skip, mute, pause, and stop or request a song to play in a specific room or group of rooms linked together. Click here for a complete list of voice commands.

Once an Alexa voice command is used to start audio playback, the DTS Play-Fi app can be used to dynamically add more products into the streaming session. When DTS Play-Fi-compatible speakers are linked to an Alexa-certified DTS Play-Fi product, voice commands to the primary device will control playback across all connected devices.
