I spotted the Chinese TV make Changhong at last year’s CES. But their booth was modest with little traffic. This year they made a big show of it, with ladies in Chinese garb bringing in the crowds...

You’ve heard of Google Glass, now make way for Toshiba Glass. It certainly sounds much the same. And that was just one of the ways Toshiba’s booth was dramatically different than in the past...

A number of new 4K Ultra HDTVs (in the Diamond line) and 1080p Full HD TVs (in the Emerald line) were announced at the show by Amtran/JVC. The DM65USRLCD is a 65-inch, 4K set favorably reviewed in our February/March 2015 issue (right in photo). There's also a 55-inch Diamond model at $899 and a new 85-incher (left), expected to hit stores later this month at the remarkable price of $7,500.

3D was hardly a presence at this year’s show, and aside from a small 3D video wall at the LG booth most of the action was on glasses-free 3D designs...

At 400 watts and $15,000 each, the new Mark Levinson monoblock (single-channel) power amplifier is not for the feint of heart or the light of wallet. Everyone else can line up to purchase 11 of them for their 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos systems!

The competition among smart speakers is heating up. In fact, it is already red hot. There are any number of choice products to choose from, with more pouring in. Another new entry is the Avy smart speaker from Zettaly. This is an Android-powered speaker with a couple of nice twists.

4K TV? Old news. Japanese broadcaster NHK already has plans underway to start 8K broadcasts sometime in 2016. That date isn’t far off at all, so there are presumably plans in the works to make TVs that can actually receive those broadcasts.

IOGEAR’s Universal Dock with 4K monitor support extends the capabilities of your desktop, laptop, or Ultrabook so it can connect to pretty much anything, 4K TVs included. Even if you neglected to take advantage of half of the connectivity options that it provides, you’d still get a gooey, good feeling knowing you have almost unlimited means to make a hook-up.

Samsung’s yet-to-be named new wireless speaker has a distinctive football-like shape. On second thought, it looks like a coffee percolator. Whatever—the important thing is that the design is a big improvement over the company’s first-generation wireless speakers.

Think hi-res audio has to stay planted indoors? Think again. With these portable DACs, you can plug into your mobile device and enjoy audio quality as good as your headphones permit. Onkyo's DAC-HA200 and new DAC-HA300 digital-to-analog converter/amplifier combos are bite-sized and they sound awesome.

It seems that every single company is coming out with a new fitness product. Fit is in - who knew? Audio-Technica has had an impressive selection in the past, but these new SonicSport earphones are certainly up for a long day at the gym, track or in the saddle.

The new 2.1 desktop system from Edifier has been named a 2015 CES Innovations Awards Honoree, and one look makes it clear that it truly is innovative. The e235 Luna Eclipse Apollo is a 234-watt system with a stand-alone wireless Bluetooth subwoofer.

Most of us have made hand gestures at the TV at one point or another over the years, and they haven’t always been the nicest of hand signals. eyesight Technologies’s singlecue is an AV remote control and home automation interface that wants you to use hand gestures to control your AV system as well as all sorts of home automation devices in throughout your home.
