Sharp 22-Incher Goes 1080p
Who's got the world's smallest Full HD LCD set? That would be Sharp, which unveiled a 22-inch 1080p model recently at a trade show in Japan. Also shown were similarly equipped 26- and 32-inch models.
But why? At that size, you'd have to practically scrunch your nose up against the screen to see the difference between 1080p and 720p. These are TVs, not video monitors. But specsmanship always rules.
Then there's the price. As the Sci-Fi Tech Blog noted: "With prices that will run $1,540, $1,700, and $2,050, respectively, you'd might as well take your money and go ahead and put a big screen in your bedroom, 'cause it'll cost you about the same."
