Yamaha Breaks Out the March Madness Deals

Yamaha is offering discounts on a couple of AV receivers and one of its home theater systems in the run-up to the 2020 NCAA Division 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament (a.k.a. March Madness), which kicks off March 19th.

The 7.2-channel RX-V685 and RX-A880 receivers have been marked down to $500 (23% off its $650 list price) and $800 (20% off the $1,000 list price), respectively. Both support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive surround sound along with Yamaha’s MusicCast multiroom wireless platform, AirPlay2, Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR), and voice control via Amazon’s Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri.

Part of Yamaha’s upscale Aventage series, the RX-A880 ups the ante with audiophile-grade components, seven HDMI inputs (the V685 has five), Yamaha’s YPAO automated room correction system, and the ability to assign two of the receiver’s amplifier channel’s to power a second zone.
