WiSA Issues Wireless Home Theater Update

David Carlick, interim president of the Wireless Speaker & Audio Association, a.k.a. WiSA, issued a statement last week about progress being made or, as he put it, “the opening curtain on the WiSA Standard as the solution for high definition, multi-channel audio— big sound for big TV's.”

Coming on the heels of an article in The Wall Street Journal that looked at three WiSA-based systems, Carlick noted that Axiim is wrapping up a successful beta of its Axiim Q Wireless Home Theater System and that Enclave Audio’s Cinehome HD system is now available online and will soon be available in retail stores and on Amazon.

Other systems currently shipping include the Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless system, which is available at Magnolia/Best Buy, and Bang & Olufsen’s Immaculate Wireless Sound series of speakers, which netted a Sound & Vision Top Pick earlier this year.
