Westone, a Colorado Springs-based company specializing in high-performance audio and in-ear monitoring technology, today introduced the water-resistant Adventure Series Alpha earphones for active users.

The $200 earphones are made of durable yet lightweight magnesium with cable routing that goes up and over the ear and designed to withstand water spray, making them appropriate for use in light rain. Sound is produced by a proprietary 6.5mm micro driver with a rated frequency response of 20Hz-18kHz; rated impedance is 21 ohms.

The cables, which are replaceable, feature a reflective coating for improved visibility in low light plus an in-line microphone and MFi (made for iPhone/iPod/iPad) controls for volume, skip, rewind/fast forward, and play/pause.

Supplied accessories include silicone tips, foam tips, a wax removal tool, and a weather-resistant travel case.
