Warner Bros. gives Blockbuster DVDs and Blu-rays a month before Netflix and kiosks

If you prefer to get your movies from Netflix or a kiosk rather than a rental store, you'll be waiting a full month longer than everyone else to get the latest Warner Bros. movies. Warner Bros. has signed an agreement with Blockbuster to let them rent out movies the same day they go on sale, and to not wait the 28 days Warner is forcing Netflix and Redbox to wait before renting out the films.
While this waiting period is inconvenient for many customers, it might prove to be a boon for Blockbuster. The company has been in dire financial straights, and can likely use any advantage it can get.
