Vizio Ships New P-Series 4K/HDR TVs

Vizio has announced that the three TVs it added to its P-Series in April have arrived in stores and on vizio.com.

The 55-inch P55-F1 ($900), 65-inch P65-F1 ($1,300), and 75-inch P75-F1 ($2,500) are “bezel-less” 4K/Ultra HD models that support high dynamic range (HDR) content encoded in the Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG formats, an expanded color gamut, and Vizio’s “Pro” full-array backlighting with up to 120 local dimming zones. The TVs are spec’d for up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness.

All of the models are equipped with five HDMI inputs and based on Vizio’s 2018 SmartCast platform, which supports Google Chromecast for access to thousands of Chromecast-enabled apps plus a selection of on-screen apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, Vudu, iHeartRadio, Crackle, and Xumo. Vizio’s free SmartCast Mobile app enables viewers to control any of these TVs via a smartphone.

The new TVs are also capable of controlling a wide range of smart home devices and integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for using voice commands for functions such as turning the TV on and off, changing channels, adjusting volume, and streaming content to the TV.
