Wanted a one box solution for handling my OTA recordings and all my streaming apps. Turns out this wasn't it. Lack of apps was a majjor disappointment but the biggest issue I had was my Sony TV wouldn't play nice with the Dolby Vision shows on Netflix, for me one of the main reasons for upgrading from a Bolt. Sony's issues with Dolby Vision from devices outside the TV are well documented but I've had no problems with a Fire Stick 4K. The Edge is considerably snappier in operation than the Bolt. The 2TB's of storage and back lit remote are welcome additions but it just wasn't worth it overall so back it went. Still wanting that one box solution.

I have a Roamio OTA, all in.
I like it for what it is. But the apps choices are limited and the inability to add more is a disappointment.

I want to expand to another room but the cost of a TIVO mini + the loss of a tuner make it a poor choice.

Since I bought into Firesticks to satisfy my app/stream needs I'll probably try the Recast.
$for$. It's the closest I can get to a all in one solution.
