Sony today announced pricing and availability for its flagship Masters Series TVs and other LCD and OLED models previewed at CES 2019 in January.

Master Series A9G 4K OLED TVs will be available May in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes for $3,500 and $4,500, respectively, at Best Buy, Amazon.com, and other national retailers. The 77-inch model is slated to ship in June with a retail price of $8,000.

A9G series features include Sony’s near-professional-grade X1 Ultimate picture processor, Pixel Contrast Booster for “more color and contrast in bright areas,” and Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which enables sound to emanate from the entire screen. The A9G models also support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and include a Netflix Calibrated Mode, and IMAX Enhanced processing with DTS audio.

The HDR-enabled 8K TVs in the Z9G Master Series will be available June in 85- and 98-inch screen sizes for $13,000 and $70,000, respectively. The series features Sony’s X1 Ultimate picture processor, optimized in this case to handle the 33 million pixels and equipped with an algorithm designed to detect and analyze each object in an 8K image. Z9G Series TVs also incorporate Sony’s Backlight Master Drive with full-array local dimming and 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO processing.

Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit3 support is slated to launch later this year for A9G and Z9G series TVs.

Sony’s A8G 4K OLED models in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes will be available May for $2,500 and $3,500. Features include Sony’s standard Acoustic Surface Audio plus HDR Processor X1 Extreme, HDR remaster, and 4K HDR Super Bit Mapping technologies. The sets also support Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced processing.

The HDR-enabled X950G Series of 4K TVs are available this month in the following screen sizes: 55 inches ($1,400), 65 inches ($2,200), 75 inches ($3,500), and 85 inches ($5,000). The models are equipped with Sony’s Picture Processor X1 Ultimate and X-tended Dynamic Range PRO processing, which is said to provide six-times the contrast of conventional Sony LED-backlit LCD TVs, in addition to X-Wide Angle and X-Motion Clarity for a “smooth, clear picture no matter the scene or viewing angle.” The models also include a Netflix Calibrated Mode and support IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit is due over the summer.

The HDR-enabled 85-inch X850G 4K LCD TV is available this month for $3,500. The TV is based on the Android TV platform and includes built-in support for Google Assistant. Other features include Sony’s 4K HDR Processor X1, Triluminos display, Acoustic Multi-Audio with sound positioning tweeters, and a smart remote control.

Finally, the HDR-enabled X800G series of 4K TVs is available in the following screen sizes: 43 inches ($650), 49 inches ($750), 55 inches ($900), 65 inches ($1,200), and 75 inches ($2,000). The models feature Sony’s 4K X-Reality PRO upscaling technology and Triluminos display technology.
