Screen Innovations (SI) has introduced a customizable version of its popular Zero Edge screen that gives enthusiasts the power to create a projection screen that fits their unique space and looks the way they want it to.

With SI’s new Zero Edge Pro screen, you can choose any screen material and three bezel options: 0.5-inch, 1.5 inches, or 2 inches. The small bezel is wrapped in velvet while the medium and large bezel options are made to order in 12 designer colors completely wrapped in velvet or with a velvet inlay.

Options include a selection of acoustically transparent materials and ambient-light rejecting (ALR) screens with different properties to suit any environment, including a new version of SI’s Black Diamond XL ALR material, which is available in screen heights up to 76 inches, making it the largest optical-layer based ALR screen, according to the company.

Other options include LED backlighting, IP control that integrates with Philips Hue smart lighting systems, and the choice of having the screen shipped unassembled or preassembled.

“We’ve already had several inquiries from customers who want to order trim to match their favorite sports teams or as the accent color in their room,” said Skyler Meek, SI’s director of marketing. “Zero Edge Pro gives our customers the ability to do exactly what they want to do: custom integration. They want a product that allows them to customize their installation, which is the biggest cry we’ve heard about traditional fixed frames.”

The Zero Edge Pro screen is hand-built and made of 100 percent aluminum to “last a lifetime.” Retail prices start at $1,700.
