Qobuz Streaming Service Now Available in Canada

Qobuz, the Paris-based music streaming and download service that’s been available in the U.S. since 2019, has finally made its way up north. As part of its ongoing international expansion, the service is now available in 26 countries with yesterday’s addition of Canada.

The cost to stream and download from a vast lossless catalog of CD quality and FLAC 24-bit files up to 192 kHz is $12.99 CDN/month for the Studio plan (or $129.99/year) and $15 CDN/month (or $179.99/year) for the Sublime plan, which includes discounts up to 60% on hi-res purchases. Duo (two accounts) and Family (up to six accounts) options are also available.

"Qobuz is the only platform in the world to offer unparalleled sound quality (high-resolution music streaming and downloads), coupled with an exclusive cultural magazine with thousands of articles dedicated to music,” said Qobuz deputy CEO Georges Fornay. “Qobuz is aimed at a demanding and discerning audience looking for alternatives to the mainstream."

As announced in February, the Canadian service incorporates the entire catalogue of the Québec-based streaming platform QUB Musique and hosts 4,000 QUB Musique-curated playlists.

Since its founding in 2007, Qobuz has amassed a catalog of more than 100 million titles, many available for streaming and download in hi-res. Click here for more information on the Qobuz Canadian offering.
