NAD's Affordable New Disc Player

Great performance doesn't have to be expensive. That's always been NAD's philosophy.

The company has launched a new affordable disc player claimed to offer exceptionally good CD playback and excellent video performance at the easy-access price of only $399. The NAD T 512 DVD player also supports a wide range of disc formats, including DVD-Video, CD, CD-R, CD-RW and MP-3. NAD has even designed the T 512 to enable MP-3 decoding via the same DACs used for CD playback, meaning one CD-R with 10 hours of continuous music will sound as good as it possibly can.

Video image quality is sustained by the T 512's 10-bit video DAC running at 54MHz. The player is claimed "capable of reproducing images with vivid colors that are extremely faithful to the original," and supports DTS, Dolby Digital and Pro Logic playback.

Handy user features accessible through the remote control include "Multi-Angle"; "Multi-Sound"; "Multi-Subtitle"; frame; zoom and repeat. The frame advance feature advances the picture one frame at a time and the 6-step zoom function highlights and enlarges a particular area of the frame.

The T 512 DVD player has three video connection options (composite, S-Video and component) and three audio connection options (analog RCA, digital coaxial and digital optical) for complete compatibility with current and future home theater systems.
