Luxman Introduces New Digital Audio Player
The D-03X features gold-plated RCA and Neutrik XLR balanced outputs and both optical and coaxial digital inputs along with its USB type-A port. Manufactured in Japan, it has the solid build and elegant look of other components from the company, with a blasted white finish and a vacuum fluorescent display with zoom capability.
The player’s circuitry is based around independent left-right Texas Instruments PCM1975 digital-to-analog converters, while the power supply “features an oversized transformer and independent filter capacitors for each circuit,” according to Luxman’s press release. When using a computer as a source connected to the player’s USB port, you get the option to use the free LUXMAN Audio Player Mac/Windows software, which decodes WAV, FLAC, MP3, DSF, DSDIFF, ALAC, and AIFF files. Another plus Luxman cites for the D-03X is Bulk Pet USB transfer, a performance-enhancing feature that the company’s release claims “optimizes data packaging and delivery to the DAC, easing the processing load for both the host CPU and the device CPU.”
The D-03X is available now for $3,295. Check out Luxman’s website for more info and to see the company’s full suite of products.
