LG Targets Sports Fans with ‘Best-Ever’ OLED Deals

As Super Bowl LIII approaches, LG is targeting sports fans with “best ever” pricing usually reserved for Black Friday on two 4K OLED TVs.

The company that carries the OLED mantle, offering more models than any other TV brand, has slashed prices on two models in its B8 series:

The 55-inch OLED55B8PUA has been marked down from $2,300 to $1,500 and the 65-inch OLED65B8PUA from $3,300 to $2,300, representing respective discounts of 35% and 30%.

LG said the deals are the “lowest pricing ever for LG OLED TVs in these screen sizes.” The discounts will be available through February 2.

Both models support the Dolby Vision, HDR10, Advanced HDR by Technicolor, and HLG high-dynamic range (HDR) formats as well as voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. The sets also incorporate LG’s dynamic tone-mapping technology that optimizes contrast frame by frame and Dolby Atmos surround sound decoding.
