Jam Audio Unveils Inexpensive Wireless Lineup

Los Angeles-based Jam Audio has introduced a new line of inexpensive Bluetooth speakers and wireless headphones/earbuds aimed at young consumers as part of a rebranding campaign built around the “Just Add Music” tag line.

All six speakers in the new Chill Series and Hang Series boast an extended 100-foot range, according to the company, and include an integrated charging cable, speakerphone capability, and auxiliary input. The models also feature an extended battery life starting at 8 hours and are IP67 rated for resistance to dust, sand, and water.

The Chill Series (top left in photo) has three models: Chill Out ($30), which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand; the slightly larger fabric-covered Double Chill ($40), featuring dual drivers and a rated battery life of 12 hours; and the elongated Zero Chill “canister” ($60), which is also covered in fabric and has a rated battery life of 20 hours. All models are offered with a choice of five colors.

The Hang series (top right in photo) has three models: Hang Up ($20), a flat speaker featuring a sticky pad so it can be attached to any wall, including shower tile; the slightly larger Hang Tight ($40), featuring a fabric loop and rated battery life of 12 hours; and the elongated Hang Around ($50), featuring dual drivers, dual passive radiators for enhanced bass, and a rated battery life of 20 hours.

Jam Audio has five new wireless earbuds. The Live Series (bottom left in photo) has three models, all with neck cords: the lightweight and sweatproof Live Loose ($20), available in three colors and featuring 6 hours of playing time; Live Large ($30) featuring a 30-foot range, 7 hours of playing time, and an earpiece with a built-in microphone and controls; and Live Fast ($40), featuring “secure-fit” ear hooks to keep the earbuds in place during active use and a rated battery life of 12 hours.

The cable-free Live True earbuds ($100) come with a carrying case that doubles as a back-up charger, and the Tune In neck-collar-style earbuds ($40) feature a rated battery life of 12 hours.

Rounding out the new offerings are two on-ear wireless headphones: Been There ($50) featuring a lightweight design and a rated battery life of 14 hours, and Out There ($70), an active noise canceling design featuring an 18-hour battery life, 50-foot range, and pivoting earcups that fold flat.
