How to Turn Off Netflix’s Annoying Autoplay Promos

In a recent tweet Netflix wrote: “Some people find this feature helpful. Others not so much. We’ve heard the feedback loud and clear — members can now control whether or not they see autoplay previews on Netflix.”
Shutting down autoplay is simple: Sign in to Netflix from a web browser. Select Manage Profiles from the menu, select the profile you want to update, and uncheck the option to “Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices.”
Netflix says there might be a delay before the setting takes effect but advises you can force the update by switching to another profile and then switching back to reload the updated setting.
Wanna go a step further and turn off the feature that automatically starts the next episode of a series you’re watching?
Sign in to Netflix from a web browser. Select Manage Profiles from the menu, select the profile you want to update, and uncheck the option to “Autoplay next episode in a series on all devices.” If there’s a delay, you can force the update here as well. Simply switch to another profile and then switch back to reload the updated setting.
