High End Munich 2020 Cancelled

The High End 2020 trade show, scheduled for May 14 to 17 in Munich, Germany, has been cancelled due to concerns over the worldwide spread of coronavirus.

Show organizers, who have been monitoring the evolving situation since mid-January, issued the following statement on Friday:

Given that in addition to the countries affected in Asia, infections in Italy have rapidly increased within a few days, it is unclear how the virus will continue to spread in Europe. As organizers of an international trade show, we consider it our responsibility, on the one hand, to safeguard the health of all stakeholders, and on the other hand, to work towards averting possible economic losses of the exhibitors.
Some 500 visitors from 40 countries had registered for the event. Those who purchased tickets in advance will receive a refund.

I love electronics, but I like breathing even more. Mr Corona, will probably not doom you to that celestial dirt nap if you meet him unless you are over 80, but he is going to spoil your day and for many days to come. I think we can all put stuff like this on hold for a year or so, grandma will thank you.
