EPV Unveils Anti-Washout, HDR-Ready Screen

Elite Prime Vision, the custom-installation division of Elite Screens, has introduced an ambient light rejecting screen in a motorized, retractable format for “lights on or off” viewing.

When used with a 4K projector, EPV said its new PolarMax Tension screen creates an “exponentially larger image than a 100” TV at a fraction of the cost.” The screen is ISF-certified for accurate color fidelity while maintaining “superior contrast enhancement, color saturation, and brightness retention” and features EPV’s PolarMax 1.3 gain material, which is designed to prevent washout in ambient light.

In addition to rejecting ambient light, the screen material is optimized for 4K high-dynamic range (HDR) images and active 3D video.

The screen is tab-tension-reinforced to ensure flatness and housed in a décor-friendly aluminum casing with a fast-acting 14 rpm tubular motor and sliding brackets that make it easy to mount and center the screen. The endcap has an up/stop/down toggle switch for easy operation.

Highlights include a standard power connection and an integrated IR/RF control system with an IR “eye” for hidden installations and a 12-volt trigger for synchronizing the screen with a projector.

The PolarMax Tension screen is available in sizes between 92 and 135 inches (diagonal) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Prices start at $ 2,074 and all models are covered by a three-year warranty.
