Epson Launches 5 LCD Projectors from $359 to $899

Epson today introduced five high-def LCD projectors, ranging in price from $359 to $899, for its Home Cinema series.

Based on 3LCD technology, the Home Cinema 2100 ($849) and Home Cinema 2150 ($899) project images up to 132 inches (diagonal), support MHL-enabled devices, and are equipped with vertical lens shift, a 1.6x zoom, and two HDMI ports. Color and white brightness are rated at 2,500 lumens and contrast ratio at 60,000:1. The 2150 adds Miracast screen mirroring for wirelessly streaming photos and videos from Android devices or Windows PCs.

The Home Cinema 660 ($359), Home Cinema 760HD ($549), and Home Cinema 1060 ($649) are portable projectors capable of displaying images up to 300 inches (diagonal). Also based on 3LCD technology, all three models are equipped with one HDMI port and an Instant Off mode said to quickly power down the projector. Color and white brightness is rated at 3,300 lumens and contrast ratio at up to 15,000:1. The 1060 adds an MHL HDMI port for MHL-supported devices such as Roku’s Streaming Stick.

All models are covered by a two-year limited warranty, 90-day limited lamp warranty, and access to Epson’s PrivateLine priority technical support with free two-business-day exchange.
