This could have been the perfect gift for the right person. In a cryptic email, McIntosh announced on Friday afternoon it would be offering “something very special” in its on line store at 2 p.m. on Sunday. That something special turned out to be the limited-edition poster “Dancing with the Dead.” Price: $195. It sold out almost immediately...

This isn’t the typical 18 x 24-inch poster you buy at Spencers. The stunning ’70s-inspired work of art is hand-printed on cotton paper (using a multi-step block printing process), then signed and numbered by artist AJ Masthay.

Given the obvious demand, will McIntosh implore Masthay to crank out — oh, I don’t know — another 300-400 in time for Christmas? I’m betting they’ll give it a shot. Keep an eye out, Mac fans…and Deadheads. Watch the making-of video…
