BluOS Now Compatible with URC Total Control System

Lenbrook, the Pickering, Ontario-based parent company of NAD, PSB, and Bluesound and developer of the hi-res-capable BluOS music operating system, has introduced a two-way BluOS control module for the URC Total Control system.

The module, supported on BluOS-enabled devices from Bluesound and NAD, enables seamless control of music playback from URC interfaces including the new TDC-7100 tabletop touchscreen controller and TKP-7600 in-wall touchscreen, TRC-1080 and TRC-820 handheld remotes, Total Control mobile apps, and more.

The two-way driver, which passed URC interoperability tests for full certification, enables playback controls within the URC interface, including volume, play/pause/skip, display of current/previous/next tracks, the ability to create presets, and a Now Playing screen with album cover art.

“URC is pleased to bring compatibility with BluOS to our network of professional integrators around the world,” said URC’s Andre Lalande. “Using the free BluOS two-way control module with our Total Control system makes it fast and easy for dealers to integrate BluOS enabled products with the home automation products they trust and install every day.”
