This is the sort of review [and the kind of reviewing] that belongs in Inner Fidelity. But it looks like Rafe Arnott does not deign to actually review anything, particularly if it a product that addresses the actual needs of folks who regularly listen to headphones, or gear that is reasonably priced.
FWIW, I just got Sennheiser's HD 579 open back headphones, requires more power that my Fiio X1 can provide, has a big eq spike in the octave above the presence range, sounds great with classical music, particularly piano and harpsichord. Decent bass as well.
I really miss Tyll Hertsens.
