Energy Introduces Power Base Soundbar

Energy today introduced the Energy Power Base soundbar, which is available on for $399 now and will roll out to retail stores in October.

Featuring Bluetooth connectivity and Dolby Digital decoding, the 2.1-channel Power Base uses the same aluminum, high-frequency drivers used in Energy’s popular Take Classic home theater speaker system in addition to separate midrange drivers for each channel. The mids and highs are bolstered by dual subwoofers in a bass-reflex cabinet with two, front-firing ports.

The 4-inch-tall soundbar doubles as a TV pedestal and offers a 3D surround sound mode to simulate the effect of a 5.1-channel speaker system. Setup is said to be quick and easy and a learning remote control is provided.
