If you have $349 and the need to switch between standard definition or high definition sources (component video) and scale them to resolutions up to 1080p, Gefen has the box for you.

The super-simple HD Mate Scaler supports two component analog sources along with one DVI source plus each source's accompanying optical digital or analog audio signals. To keep things nice and tidy, the audio inputs will be output in the original input format.

The little box does three things for your money. First, it works as a switcher for three sources hooked up to one DVI display. Second, it converts all inputs to DVI. Third, it scales input video up or down in all HD resolutions (from 480i to 1080p). Essentially, it's better than popping a couple of Excedrin for your hookup headaches.

Gefen says the unit works "with all DVI sources and displays, including cross-platform computer systems such as Apple’s line of HD DVI displays" and includes on-screen menus which are accessible via the included remote control.
