Triad Expands In-Ceiling Speaker Lineup

Triad Speakers has expanded its R Series of in-ceiling speakers with six models, ranging in price from $225/pair to $325 apiece.

Described as low-profile and easy to install, the new models are designed to blend seamlessly into any décor and include paintable (round or square) grilles that attach magnetically to the speaker frame.

Triad has added four models to its R10 Series, all featuring a reinforced poly-mica woofer and pivoting synthetic Teteron dome tweeter: the 5.25-inch R15 with a 0.75-inch tweeter ($225/pair), 6.5-inch R16 with a 0.75-inch tweeter ($290/pair), and 8.5-inch R18 ($335/pair) and R18DT ($275 each), with 1-inch tweeters; the R18DT has dual tweeters that can be aimed to create a stereo effect in small rooms.

The remaining new models are the R06 ($235/pair), combining a 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer with a 0.75-inch pivoting cloth dome tweeter, and a new addition to Triad’s R20 Series: the R28DT ($325 each), combining an 8.5-inch carbon-fiber woofer with dual pivoting 1-inch silk dome tweeters.

All models are backed by Triad’s 10-year warranty.

“With the growth of the connected home and demand for music everywhere, customers want to play high-quality audio throughout the home,” said Triad vice president Paul Williams. “And, more often than not, the homeowner wants the speakers to blend into the décor. Triad R Series provides low-profile, in-ceiling speakers for a wide range of budgets, applications, and room sizes.”
