Sticky Labels Bedevil Consumers

Don’t you hate peeling sticky labels off your new phone and other CE purchases?

You are not alone, according to an Ipsos poll of 819 consumers. Eighty-two percent confess to frustration, 81 percent to difficulty, and 53 percent to annoyance—because the labels leave a sticky residue.

“As the survey demonstrates, the label might seem a small part of the product, but it can have a significant impact on consumer experience.” That quote is from a product manager for Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials, which paid for the survey and just happens to offer removable adhesives for label converters, so it must be true.
