Proving once again that size does matter, a home theater setup based on floorstanding tower speakers—like the ones featured in our recent “Top 10 Tower Speakers: Under $3,000” list—was the hands-down favorite in last week’s poll. We asked what type of home theater speakers you have and two-thirds of the respondents reported owning a tower-based setup, while nearly a third (30 percent) said they have a subwoofer/satellite setup.

We’d like to thank readers who shared details about their setups, which included speaker layouts that went beyond the choices we offered. Among them were setups that mix freestanding and in-ceiling/wall speakers and those with larger full-range satellite speakers. Here’s the complete breakdown:
