Pangea Unveils 20th Anniversary Record Doctor

Audio accessory specialist Pangea Audio is marking the 20th anniversary of Record Doctor with an updated version of the popular LP cleaning machine that removes dust, dirt, and grime from record grooves.

Like its predecessors, the new Record Doctor VI ($300) is a manually operated system featuring a vacuum motor, protective felt cleaning strips, precision bearings that help records spin freely, and an easy-to-drain storage tank for cleaning fluids.

The system includes several upgrades over past models, including a vacuum motor that runs “cooler and quieter,” a stain-resistant aluminum top, a larger turning knob that helps keep fluid off the LP label, and a new deep-cleaning brush for applying cleaning fluid to the surface of an LP.

The Record Doctor VI is offered in matte white or gloss black and ships in a sturdy eco-friendly package that avoids the use of Styrofoam.

“Proper maintenance is not an option — it’s critical to preventing damage to vinyl and styli,” said Pangea’s Steve Niemi. “Record Doctor VI is the most efficient and cost-effective way for music lovers to show some love for their favorite vinyl and the gear they use to enjoy it.”
