NuVision Looks to Stage TV Comeback

NuVision, a U.S.-based display company with manufacturing partners in China and Mexico that seeks to deliver a “compelling mix of quality, technology and value,” has announced plans to re-enter the U.S. TV market.

The company, which focuses exclusively on five categories — mobile computing, television, audio, home control, and accessories — is planning to offer three distinct TV series:

• Core Series – 1080p Full HD and 720p HD smart TVs in 32-, 40-, and 50-inch screen sizes.
• Edge Series – 4K/Ultra HD smart TVs in 43-, 50-, 55-, 65- and 75-inch screen sizes.
• Ultra Series – “Premium” 4K/Ultra HD smart TVs offering the “highest quality and newest technology, while maintaining clear value” in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch screens sizes.

The TVs will complement the company’s line of mobile computers.

"NuVision is the perfect name for our company, as it encapsulates our business direction in a single word," said Scott Ramirez, VP of product marketing and development and former long-time Toshiba TV executive. "We are focusing on building the right 4P's — Product, Pricing, Process, and People. This will allow us to maintain an aggressive, yet stable brand position, and a business positioned for managed long-term growth."

The NuVision management team includes multiple TV/CE industry veterans with a history of building billion-dollar businesses and trusted customer relationships. With strong financial backing, the company says it has created all new product roadmaps, fresh branding, and product and channel marketing plans. Moving forward, NuVision says it will partner with select quality retailers across the country, providing new opportunities with back-to-basics business practices.
