Music technology company MQA and Bluesound, sister brand to audio stalwarts NAD and PSB, have teamed up with British Underground and Jazz re:freshed to present the Master Sessions series of concerts that will be live-streamed to audio retailers around the world.

The collaboration aims to promote skilled artists and help them reach a wider audience and “articulate the power of pioneering audio technology and create better listening experiences.”

Concerts featuring two U.K.-based acts — award-winning tuba player Theon Cross and Seed Ensemble — kick off in early February and will be streamed live in real-time and with high-resolution Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) sound.

At the moment, the list of streaming venues includes 10 retailers in Canada and none in the states but a spokesperson said the main event in the U.S. will happen in mid-March during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas with additional U.S. venues to be added at a later date.
