Monster Digital is taking a different approach with the Monster Vision VR virtual reality camera it introduced at CES 2017.

The high-def camera, which uses two lenses to create a 360° spherical field of view, comes with a complement of accessories—13 in all—to help you create 360-degree immersive virtual reality (VR) video experiences without having to worry about buying stands, mounts, and other accessories separately.

Aimed at sports enthusiasts, travelers, content creators, or anyone who loves to shoot video, the $380 package includes a 16-GB memory card, tripod, RF remote control, and “all the mounts and adapters you’ll need for immediate action video recording.” There’s even a bike mount.

The camera’s 360 degree field of view allows users to tilt up, zoom in, and see all the way around for an immersive experience. During playback viewers can choose their own perspective and view. Automatic stitching software is included and you can control the camera through your phone with the Monster Vision 360° App.
