Add JVC and Funai to the growing list of companies partnering to make the best of the booming but volatile flat-panel TV market.

According to a Reuters report, the deal divides manufacturing and marketing functions, with each partner assuming different functions in different areas. Funai will market JVC's Mexican-made LCD TVs in the U.S., while JVC will market Funai's Polish-made products in Europe.

Unlike the recent deal between Sharp and Pioneer, there will be no exchange of stock between JVC and Funai.
