Hisense Ships Roku-Enabled 4K TVs

Hisense, the Chinese electronics brand that holds a top-three ranking in worldwide TV market share, has started shipping its new three-model line of Roku-enabled 4K/Ultra HD smart TVs.

R6 Roku TV Series models run Roku OS and have a simplified home screen that makes it easy to switch between streaming channels and devices in addition to incorporating the functionality and features of a Roku streaming player.

The line includes 50-, 55-, and 65-inch models that list for $450, $550, and $800, respectively. Hisense said the 50-inch 50H6D is available now in select Sam's Clubs locations and online at Samsclub.com.

The Roku TVs also provide access to 5,000 channels, including the curated Roku 4K Spotlight Channel, and use Roku's “unbiased" search system, which lets viewers search for movies, TV shows, and actors, and see results sorted by price across 300-plus channels.

The TVs can be controlled by a simple Roku TV remote or the Roku mobile app for iOS and Android devices, which lets viewers use a smartphone as a remote control with voice search and cast videos and photos. Other highlights include HDR10 high-dynamic range processing and 4K upscaling for content that is standard HD resolution or lower.
