HiFiMan Unveils SuperMini Hi-Res Audio Player

HiFiMan today introduced a super compact audio player that plays files at resolutions up to 192 kHz/24-bit and supports all lossless file formats including DSD.

Dubbed SuperMini, the 4-inch-long player weighs only 2.4 ounces and is designed to drive “all but the most power hungry headphones,” including the company’s full-size HE400i and HE400S planar-magnetic models.

Key features include a 128-GB internal memory that can be expanded to 256 GB via a micro SD card, a rated battery life of 22 hours, both normal and balanced outputs, and an included set of in-ear headphones. Price is $399.

“Though we are mostly known for reference, high performance players, we have also had many requests over the years for a player that was compact, super light, easy to use and affordable,” said company founder and president, Dr. Fang Bian. “The SuperMini is our answer that and checks all the boxes. Portable players have always been a passion of mine and I am very pleased with how SuperMini turned out.”
