Epson Unveils $2,200 Projector with HDR and 4K Enhancement

Epson today introduced a three-chip LCD projector featuring high-dynamic range (HDR) capability and 4K enhancement for $2,199.

The Home Cinema 4000 (model V11H715120) supports the HDR10 format uses pixel shifting to double the apparent resolution of 4K/Ultra HD content. Epson said the latest iteration of its 4K enhancement technology delivers image quality that rivals more expensive 4K solutions and offers 10-bit color output and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Brightness is rated at 2,200 lumens for “equal color and white brightness” and contrast ratio at 140,000:1 on screens up to 300-inches wide. Features include 4k upscaling of HD content, a 2.1x zoom, “ultra- wide” lens shift, two HDMI ports, and an optical audio output.

The projector is covered by a two-year limited warranty (90 days for the lamp), with toll-free access to Epson's PrivateLine priority technical support and free next-day exchange.
