Elite Launches Motorized Outdoor Projection Screen

Summer is gone and Halloween is only a couple weeks away but that hasn’t stopped Elite Screens from introducing a new dual-sided outdoor projection screen that’s water-resistant and motorized.

The Yard Master Electric Tension is IP33-rated for resistance against spraying water and tab-tensioned for uniform flatness, but what makes it special is the electric motor that raises and lowers the screen on command using the supplied radio frequency (RF) remote control or via a 12-volt trigger linked to the projector.

Suitable for use with short-throw or ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors, the 16:9 screen is available in sizes between 100 and 150 inches (diagonal) and constructed using rust-proof materials including an aluminum casing.

The screen is made of Elite’s 0.8-gain WraithVeil Dual material, which is said to provide “superb image clarity” whether the image is projected from in front of or behind the screen. Optimal viewing angle is 150° and the screen has black borders to enhance perceived contrast and negate overscan.

Elite ships the screen fully assembled and ready to install with accessories including a roller tube with brackets, carry handle, weight bar, and floating wall/ceiling brackets to make it easy to center the screen on a deck or patio.

The screen is covered by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Prices start at $989.
