Digital Projection M-Vision Cine 230 DLP Projector Video Test Bench

Video Test Bench

The 3:2 and 2:2 tests reveal how well the display's video processor deinterlaces images that were originally captured on film and progressive video, respectively, in high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD). MA (motion-adaptive) tests measure how well the processor deinterlaces video that was originally captured in an interlaced manner. The M-Vision Cine 230 performed extremely well on all these tests (1080i via HDMI, 480i via component).

The video-clipping test determines if the display can correctly display above-white and below-black information. The M-Vision Cine 230 passed this test.

The luma and chroma resolution tests reveal how well the display can resolve fine black-and-white and color details, respectively. The M-Vision Cine 230 performed extremely well on these tests.

The scaling test reveals how well the display upconverts standard-definition to high-definition. The M-Vision Cine 230 did well on this test, but not as good as the best video processors.
